Learning to serve and protect at high speed

WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- A vacant parking lot turned into an obstacle course for New Castle County police Wednesday.

Cadets got behind the wheel to practice driving cruisers in emergency conditions.

The fire department was on hand, so they could train on wet asphalt.

Cadets also had to maneuver around traffic cones, and train on reversing at high speeds.
