Small businesses along the Underground Railroad route are getting a boost

WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- Small businesses along the Underground Railroad route in Wilmington, Delaware are getting a boost Tuesday night.

Senator Tom Carper and other officials did a walking tour of Olde New Castle.

They started from the historic New Castle courthouse museum where fugituve slave trials were held in the 1860s.

They're urging shoppers to check out the dining and shopping deals here.

There's also a new "byway Bucks" program that gives discount coupons.
