OIC inaugural luncheon and awards program

CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- They honored several people in Center City Tuesday for their work that has changed lives and improved communities.

The Philadelphia Opportunities Industrialization Center held its inaugural luncheon and awards program at the Kimmel Center.

Several local business and education leaders and entrepreneurs were honored.

The OIC has been dedicated to the elimination of poverty, unemployment and illiteracy since it began in 1964.
