BROOKLYN (WPVI) -- Moms are often the unsung heroes, always doing the little things that mean a lot for their children - like making and packing your lunch.

Now, one woman in Brooklyn is celebrating her mom and all of the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches she made for her while she was growing up through a new art exhibit.

Jessica Olah spent 5 days making 2,340 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches - the approximate number her mom, Elizabeth, made her over the years.

She says it's her way of showing appreciation for mom's relentless devotion to her and all of the other parents whose hard work and warm gestures get overlooked.

Olah raised $3,500 dollars for the project that was part art - and part charity.

After all of the sandwiches were made, she donated them to The Bowery Mission, a nonprofit organization that helps the homeless.
