ROXBOROUGH (WPVI) -- A Philadelphia school received a major gift Friday, shining a bright light on the importance of education.
Roxborough High School was presented a check for 1 point 1 million dollars.
The money will be used to create a curriculum that centers on career and technical education.
School Superintendent Dr. William Hite attended the presentation.
The goal is to better prepare students for college and careers after high school.
The grant was made possible by the Philadelphia School Partnership.
