Reading "Cat in the hat" to cats

WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- Dozens of pre K students in Wilmington practiced their reading skills with a captive audience Thursday.

The youngsters made a visit to the Delaware Humane Society to read some of their favorite stories to the cats and dogs there.

One bright young lady made sure to share the pictures in the books, as well.

Organizers say it helps the students with their reading skills, while helping the animals learn to socialize with humans.
