Part of one of Philadelphia's busiest roads got a new name in honor of a pair of famous veterans

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Part of one of Philadelphia's busiest roads got a new name Thursday in honor of a pair of famous veterans.

City leaders dedicated a stretch of Columbus Boulevard between Oregon and Washington Avenues.

The road is now called the William J Guarnere and Edward "Babe" Heffron Memorial Boulevard.

The two men served during World War Two in the famous Easy Company, which was the subject of the HBO series Band of Brothers.

Both men grew up in Philadelphia.
