Cheesesteak Fest and Eastern State Penitentiary kick off Halloween season this weekend.

Summer action is giving way to fall fun and holiday-themed events around the city. Here's a look at some of the best activities going on this weekend.

PHILLY CHESESTEAK FESTIVAL

Saturday, thousands of food-lovers will gather at Citizens Bank Park for the third annual Philly Cheesesteak and Food Fest. A variety of Philly's signature eats and craft brews will be showcased throughout the concourse. General admission is $20, premium is $45 and VIP admission is $65. Children 8 and under are free! TERROR BEHIND THE WALLS AT ESP

"Terror Behind the Walls" kicks off the Halloween season Friday. Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia's Fairmount neighborhood transforms into a haunted house, with elaborate sets, creepy guards and zombie inmates. Terror Behind the Walls is open on select nights through November 11th. CALENDAR AND TICKETS

ANNUAL HERO THRILL SHOW IN SOUTH PHILLY (FREE)

First responders will put on daredevil stunts and demonstrations in the 63rd Annual Hero Thrill Show. It takes place Saturday from noon-5 p.m. at the Wells Fargo Center. The event raises money to pay for the college tuition of children of fallen Philadelphia Police Officers and Firefighters. TICKET INFO AND DONATIONS

EAGLES HOST GIANTS FOR HOME OPENER

The Eagles play their home opener against their division rivals to the north. They host the 0-2 New York Giants Sunday at 1 p.m. EAGLES TICKETS

UNION CLASH WITH FIRE IN CHESTER

The Union is expected to play a highly contested Eastern Conference tilt as they host the Chicago Fire Saturday at 7 p.m. UNION TICKETS

WILDWOOD HOSTS IRISH FESTIVAL (FREE)

North Wildwood celebrates Irish heritage this weekend. It's the largest Irish Festival on the East Coast. There will be food, a beer garden, free Irish dance lessons and more. The events conclude with a parade on Surf Avenue Sunday afternoon. IRISH FALL FESTIVAL

PUERTO RICAN DAY PARADE (LIVE ON 6ABC)

Sunday is the annual Puerto Rican Day Parade. Music, dancing and fabulous floats will fill the Ben Franklin Parkway, as thousands of spectators celebrate Puerto Rican and Latino heritage. You can watch it live at 12:30 Sunday afternoon on 6abc. PARADE INFO AND GALLERY
