Teen girl stabbed in South Philadelphia

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A teenage girl was stabbed multiple times in South Philadelphia.

It happened around 3:28 p.m. Wednesday in the 2000 block of South Watts Street.

The 17-year-old girl was stabbed in the abdomen, eye and arm.

Medics responded and rushed the victim to Jefferson Hospital in stable condition.

Police apprehended a suspect and recovered a weapon.

No word yet on a motive.
