PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Action News was at the Philadelphia International Airport on Friday morning to catch up with Carlos Ruiz.

We spoke to him just hours after the catcher was traded from the Phillies to the Dodgers.

"It was real sad. Today when I left from my house, it was tough. All day yesterday was the same way. I had a lot of phone calls from family and friends," he said.

However, Ruiz said, he is excited for a shot at another title.

Ruiz spent his entire 11-year career with the Phillies and he will go down as one of the best catchers in team history

As he left, he said Phillies fans are the "best fans in the world."

His fondest memory, of course, is winning the 2008 World Series.

In Los Angeles, Ruiz will be reunited with Chase Utley.

Ryan Howard is now the last player on the roster from the Phillies' World Series-winning team.
