No, we are not talking about an NBA Championship (though, never say never).
This is about something a bit 'fluffier.'
Ever since 2011 and the departure of Hip Hop the rabbit, Philadelphia 76ers fans have been clamoring for a new mascot.
There was a sign of hope just weeks after Hip Hop's retirement, when the Sixers unveiled a poll to vote for a new mascot.
Remember Big Ben, Phil E. Moose, and B. Franklin Dogg?
Of course, you do.
However, nothing ever materialized and hopes of a moose with wristbands dancing during halftime of a basketball game just became an unattainable dream.
However, according to the Sixers' job board, fans may just get their wish of a new cheerleading friend.
In fact, one of you could be the new Sixers mascot!
Just days ago, the team posted to their career opportunities website an opening for 'Philadelphia 76ers Mascot.'
The Sixers confirmed to 6abc.com Thursday that this job posting was no mistake and that they are indeed "in the exploration and planning stages of incorporating a team mascot into our overall plans."
Here are some of the qualifications you will need should you want to become a costumed creature:
The listing states the mascot will 'perform at all 76ers home games,' as well as 'add entertainment to the 76ers game presentation experience.'
Think you got what it takes? Read the full listing and apply here.
If you do apply, you will be asked if you have any gymnastic skills, so get to stretching!
There is no word if Big Shot will be a judge.
