Carli Lloyd surprises a group of young soccer fans.

The US women's soccer team is headed to the World Cup finals after a big win Tuesday night.

The women in red, white and blue bested Germany 2-0.

Analysts billed the game as a clash of two World Cup titans.

The game was highly physical including a nasty head-butt on the field.

New Jersey native Carli Lloyd helped turn the tide with a penalty kick, putting the US on the board.

Recently, Lloyd was also responsible for a big surprise for some local, budding soccer stars.

The girls' soccer team from Avon Grove High School in Chester County was in Canada to cheer the women's national team on when Lloyd popped out of a van behind them.

Cheers and selfies followed.

"We were just so excited and overwhelmed to see her. It meant so much to us that she took time out of her day and schedule to come and meet us and talk to us," Kate Cortlessa said.

"It was a once in a lifetime opportunity for us and it was really special," Sadie Slavin said.

The US will play the winner of Japan vs. England, which will be decided Wednesday night.
