Joel Embiid introduced as "The Process" at Philadelphia 76ers game

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Joel Embiid officially has a nickname: "The Process."

On Tuesday, public address announcer Matt Cord introduced the Philadelphia 76ers center with the new moniker.

Fans at the Wells Fargo Center have been chanting "Trust the Process" at Embiid since he made his long awaited debut last week.

The "Trust the Process" phrase became popular during former general manager Sam Hinkie's rebuilding strategy.

Embiid has not been shy about using that much criticized phrase his own way on social media.

In fact, his Instagram bio reads Joel "The Process" Embiid and, just like his Twitter bio, says "Processing..."
