GLENDALE, Ariz. --Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer was announced as the starter during pregame introductions Sunday at University of Phoenix Stadium.

Palmer hasn't played since suffering an axillary nerve contusion in his right throwing shoulder during a Week 1 win over San Diego on "Monday Night Football."

All three of Arizona's quarterbacks were active for Sunday's game against Washington.

Palmer's status Sunday wasn't known until the team came out for warm ups. He worked with the first team while Drew Stanton, who suffered a concussion, ran the second team.

Third-stringer Logan Thomas didn't get many pregame snaps. Palmer went to Denver on Friday to work with Greg Roskpopf, the consultant who he met with when Arizona played the Broncos in Week 5.
