The Eagles refuse to add fuel to the fire after new Redskins corner back Josh Norman, who's never afraid to speak his mind, picked on Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford.

"Have you ever once been one of the top 20 quarterbacks in the league? Not that I remember -- and you want more money? I can't wait to play him twice a year," said Bradford.

Without being too dramatic about it, Bradford's teammates came to his defense.

"I'm not gonna pull a TO right now and get all upset," said Eagles tight end Zach Ertz. "Sam's my guy. I mean everyone in here loves him, everyone's really happy he's our quarterback right now, and I think we can be very successful this season."

Bradford declined to respond to Norman's comments. Knowing the Eagles QB, he would much rather let his play do the talking.

And his last shot to do that at least in the preseason is Saturday when he's expected to play into the third quarter.

"He takes stuff to heart and he wants to go prove everybody wrong and show that he's worth the No. 1 pick a few years ago so he a big chip on his shoulders, " said Eagles offensive lineman. "That's just what rival teams do. They like to talk trash."

It might be a little early for trash talking. The Eagles don't play the Redskins until week 6 in mid-October, but there's no question this gives Bradford and the birds bulletin board material when it comes to beating their divisional rival.
