PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Outside Lincoln Financial Field Monday night, the late-night Philadelphia Eagles game meant more time to tailgate.

Die-hard fans showcased impressive spreads and NFL legend Vince Papale and Eagles Owner Jeffrey Lurie even made the rounds through the lot.

"It's so vibrant, of course, I'm feeling a win," said Papale. "It's the Eagles against the Redskins, they're the second most hated team other than the Cowboys."

Lurie said the vibe from the fans in Philadelphia can't be missed.

"Our fans are obsessed, we are obsessed - everyone bleeds green in Philadelphia," he said.

Outside of the stadium, several small protests highlighted some of the NFL's recent controversies, from the Washington Redskins name to the take a knee movement during the national anthem.

"I think I'm having a good time here at the party," said Dean from Allentown. "We have an Eagles player who donated his entire 2017 salary to charity. That's better than taking a knee."

Next up, the Eagles play San Francisco at the Linc on Sunday.
