WASHINGTON --Washington Wizards point guard John Wall will sit out tonight's Game 4 against the Atlanta Hawks because of the five non-displaced fractures in his left hand/wrist.

Wall has missed three straight games in his best-of-seven series since crashing down hard on his left wrist late in the second quarter of Game 1 in Atlanta on May 3.

Wall attended but did not participate in the morning shootaround. He had his left hand wrapped in tape. Wizards coach Randy Wittman said that the swelling in the All-Star's hand has improved but that Wall hasn't tried dribbling yet.

Wittman has said that the swelling must be gone completely before Wall can attempt to dribble and test his hand.

"Heading in the right direction," Wittman said Monday morning after the shootaround.

Ramon Sessions will start his third straight game in Wall's absence as the Wizards try to win their second straight game without Wall and increase their 2-1 lead over the top-seeded Hawks in this series at the Verizon Center.
