PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Mother Nature is keeping spring allergy sufferers on their toes.

After several weeks of misery from very high to extreme tree pollen levels, there is a new twist.

According to the Asthma Center, which takes readings for Philadelphia, mold spore levels spiked.

The center says its instruments recorded levels not normally seen till mid-July.

Over the past few days, some sufferers have complained of froggy throats and voice problems, on top of symptoms they have from tree pollen.

Today, the count has decreased slightly, from extreme to very high.

However, tree pollen is once again at extreme levels, and pine is the primary problem.

Grass pollen is also in the air, at moderate levels.
