Stolen SUV slams into Bethlehem tobacco shop

BETHLEHEM, Pa. (WPVI) -- A suspected car thief is in custody in the Lehigh Valley after slamming into a tobacco shop.

The stolen SUV crashed right into the side of the store in Bethlehem Thursday morning.

Police say the suspect sped off in the Chevrolet Blazer when he saw them, but the chase was short lived.

The suspect got out of the SUV and ran off, but was eventually captured in a nearby yard.

Store shelves inside the tobacco shop were knocked over, but no one inside was hurt.

The suspect now faces several charges.
