Crews battle house fire in Strawberry Mansion

STRAWBERRY MANSION (WPVI) -- Crews were called to battle a fire at a home in Philadelphia's Strawberry Mansion section.

It happened around 1:45 p.m. Wednesday in the 1800 block of North Taney Street.

A passerby saw smoke coming from the two story dwelling and called 911.

There were reports that someone was trapped inside but it turns out the home was empty.

Crews were able to bring the fire under control.

No one was injured.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
