Strong winds send tree into Delaware home

NEW CASTLE, Delaware (WPVI) -- It was a bad start to Thanksgiving for a man in New Castle, Delaware on Thursday.

Authorities say strong winds brought a tree down onto his home in the unit block of Charring Lane at around 5:30 a.m.

The falling tree took out the home's electrical service, sparking a fire.

Fortunately, the man inside was able to make it out safely.
