Suspicious suitcase found on South Street Bridge

UNIVERSITY CITY (WPVI) -- Police shut down parts of the South Street Bridge to investigate a suspicious suitcase in the University City of Philadelphia.

The green bag which was left unattended was discovered around 10:28 a.m. Thursday at Convention Avenue.

Authorities called the bomb squad to the scene.

After further investigation, the suitcase was cleared without incident.
