VIDEO: Beloved 'Tatted Santa' asked to tone it down
A family favorite at the Oxford Valley Mall is being asked to tone it down.

MIDDLETOWN TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- Santa Scott has been a family favorite at the Oxford Valley Mall for years.

He's a silly sort of jolly old elf, and underneath his red velvet suit he has a little ink - the word "naughty" on one arm and "nice" on the other.

His tattoos have been a hit in holiday pics for years.

A viewer wrote into Action News last month to say that this year those pictures are not being allowed.

The shots with little ones upside down; the pics with snakes, skunks and whatever reptiles - nope.

So, we reached out to the mall.

There's a new management company, Cherry Hill Programs, and they said in a statement that they're upholding a legal policy in place for many years, and they're "dedicated to preserving the tradition and image of Santa with authentic holiday visits."

In other words, consistency, which we assume is where the tattoos come into play.

Santa Scott wouldn't comment. He loves his job. He's been checking off lists for 20 years, and he's still at the mall.

In his spare time, he drives a truck and supports his 9 kids and is about to welcome an 11th grandchild.

Anyone who still want the silly pics can go to Crush Photography in Levittown.
