A teacher has accused a student of pushing her Wednesday morning.

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A teacher is pressing charges against a student who allegedly pushed her down to get into the school Wednesday morning.

The incident happened at approximately 8:21 a.m. at the John Welsh Public School on the 2300 block of North 4th Street in North Philadelphia.

School district officials say the incident started when an 8th grade female student was attempting to come in the building.

However, officials say students are not allowed in the building at that time.

Officials say the student pushed the teacher out of the way so she could enter the building.

The student has been taken into police custody.
