Take a tour of the new 6abc app with Brian Taff

Perhaps you are giving, or maybe even getting a new smart phone over the holidays. And we're happy to tell you about a major upgrade to an app that should be on it!

We've just retooled the 6abc app, loading it with all kinds of new features, giving you the news you want, when you want it.

When you open up the 6abc app, you'll find the big stories that Action News is covering right now. But that's only the beginning!

Tap MY NEWS and take control of your news feed!

You can choose the LOCATIONS and TOPICS that are important to you.

Just tap the STAR next to each option to get started. After that you'll get the news feed you want to see.

When you choose those topics, you'll not only see those stories under MY NEWS you'll also get push alerts sent to your phone about those locations and topics.

Want even more control? Just tap SETTINGS and you can choose from the sections of Philadelphia along with specific counties in the tri-state area!

But that's not all! You can still see all of the stories we're posting to the 6abc app any time you want! The EXPLORE section shows you the top stories for every location and topic, and the choice to see even more stories.

So, there's lots of reasons to download the free app, if you don't already have it. And if you do, no need to download it again. You'll get all of these new features when you simply update the current app on your mobile device.
