New Maritime Training Center

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A new training center opened Wednesday to provide hands-on training to workers in Philadelphia's growing maritime industry.

The facility, located in South Philadelphia, will provide learning opportunities to hundreds of current and future employees.

Workers will be able to get certifications to operate various kinds of machinery.

The center was made possible thanks to a contribution from Citizens Bank.
