Thanksgiving for families of heroes

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The Fraternal Order of Police held a special Thanksgiving breakfast Wednesday for the families who have lost loved ones in the line of duty.

The FOP hosted the event in its ballroom in Northeast Philadelphia.

After the breakfast, families received their Thanksgiving dinners courtesy of the union.

This is the first year for the event.

In past years, union members have delivered the meals directly to families homes.
