Philadelphia Police Department "Turning a Corner" program

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A unique program by the Philadelphia Police Department is growing.

Officials were in North Philadelphia Friday to announce the expansion of a program called "Turning a Corner".

It began in Southwest Philadelphia, but will now expand to two other areas.

The initiative connects employers with community members who are in need of a job.

Meetings between the two groups take place right on the city's street corners on the first Friday of every month.
