Philadelphia Fire Department and the Muscular Dystrophy Association celebrate partnership

PHILADELPHIA -- The Philadelphia Fire Department and members of the Muscular Dystrophy Association celebrated their longstanding partnership.

The fire department made Natalie Aponte, the MDA's goodwill child ambassador, an honorary fire chief.

They presented her with a special helmet Thursday in Juniata.

Natalie made a drawing to thank the firefighters at Engine 55, Ladder 22 and Medic 39 in the city's Juniata section for participating in the annual "fill the boot" campaign.

Firefighters will be out across the city tomorrow, collecting donations.
