Suspect sought for theft in South Philadelphia

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are investigating a theft inside a deli in South Philadelphia.

It happened on March 18 at 12:30 p.m. inside the Lee Lai Deli on the 2000 block of South 23rd Street.

According to police, the female vitim accidentally left behind her purse on a window sill inside the deli after making a purchase.

When the suspect walked into the deli, he noticed the purse int he window with no one around.

He then stole the victim's wallet from inside the purse and fled the scene.
