VIDEO: Man shot in the face in Tioga-Nicetown
Police say a man was shot in the face in the Tioga-Nictown section of Philadelphia.

Police say a 26-year-old man was shot in the face in the Tioga-Nictown section of Philadelphia.



The shooting occurred around 11:30 p.m. Monday on the 3900 block of Priscilla Street.



The victim says he was getting out of his car to go into a store when the suspect began shooting at him.



The victim says he then ran southbound on Priscilla Street.



Witnesses say the victim managed to run a half block to a nearby restaurant on the 1900 block of West Hunting Park Avenue before collapsing.



He was rushed to the hospital in stable condition.



He is scheduled for surgery to remove the bullet lodged in his jaw.



The suspect is described as a black male wearing black shorts and a white t-shirt.



That person may be operating a gold or white vehicle, police say.



So far, there is no word on a motive.
