Two people were injured after a car slammed into a home in Pottstown, Montgomery County on Sunday evening.

POTTSTOWN, Pa. (WPVI) -- Two people were injured after a car slammed into a home in Pottstown, Montgomery County on Sunday evening.

It happened around 7:50 p.m. in the 200 block of Wilson Street.

Police say the driver, a 19-year-old man, was trapped in the car and it took rescuers 45 minutes to free him.

He was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

A female passenger in the car is also hospitalized in stable condition.

The homeowners tell Action News they heard a loud "boom" and ran outside. They were not injured.

Witnesses tell police they saw the car swerve before the crash.

Police are working to determine if weather played a role in the crash.
