Two officers and two others were injured in a crash in Frankford.

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A police vehicle was involved in a crash in Frankford Thursday.

It happened around 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of Frankford and Cheltenham avenues.

A police vehicle was involved in a crash in Frankford.

Police say officers from the 15th district responding to call traveling southbound on Frankford Avenue were struck by the driver of a gray Toyota Rav 4 traveling eastbound on Cheltenham Avenue.

Both officers were transported by medics to Temple University Hospital and are expected to be treated and released.

Two civilians were transported by medics to Aria Health Torresdale with minor injuries.

Both vehicles sustained heavy damage.

No arrests have been made.

The investigation is ongoing.
