All lanes reopen on Schuylkill Expressway after crash

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A crash on the Schuylkill Expressway eastbound caused a major backup for Thursday morning commute.

The crash happened around 5:30 a.m.

All lanes were blocked near Vare Avenue. Authorities began allowing some traffic to get by around 6 a.m. Approximately 20 minutes later, all lanes were reopened.

Drivers could be seen turning around and driving in the wrong direction to get around the delays.
