Bicyclist struck by car in Center City

CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- A bicyclist was struck by a car in Center City Philadelphia.

It happened around 5 a.m. Friday at 11th and Vine streets.

Police say the impact of the collision sent the man off his bike. He suffered head and neck injuries.

The bicyclist was taken Hahnemann University Hospital in serious, but stable condition.

Action News is told the driver of the striking vehicle stopped a blocked away from the scene.
