Car slams into utility pole in Hockessin

HOCKESSIN, Del. (WPVI) -- A driver was taken to the hospital after her car slammed into a utility pole in Hockessin, Delaware.

The crash happened around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 1700 block of Old Wilmington Road.

The impact left wires down on the road.

The driver, described as female in her teens, was rushed to Christiana Hospital.

There was no immediate word on her condition.

An investigation into this crash continues.
