Caught on video: Woman walks on busy freeway

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (WPVI) -- Horrified bystanders pleaded with a woman to get out of traffic as she walked down a busy freeway in San Diego, California.

The woman was caught on video walking across several lanes of traffic to ask someone for jumper cables as cars sped by.

"Don't go into the lanes! Don't go into the lanes!" one person is heard shouting.

Some drivers had to swerve to avoid her and her abandoned vehicle.

Other drivers stopped to bravely direct traffic, preventing at least one accident.

California Highway Patrol officers eventually arrested the woman on drunken driving charges.

Amazingly, no one was hurt.
