Driver critical after crash in Trenton

TRENTON, N.J. (WPVI) -- Police are investigating a serious crash early Thursday morning in Trenton, New Jersey.

It happened around midnight on Route 29 near Sanhican Drive.

A driver lost control and crashed sideways into a utility pole, police say.

The driver had to be rescued and was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

No word on why the driver lost control.
