Police are searching for the person involved in a two car hit-and-run crash that critically injured a driver in Philadelphia's Mantua section Tuesday evening.

MANTUA (WPVI) -- Police are searching for the person involved in a two car hit-and-run crash that critically injured a driver in Philadelphia's Mantua section Tuesday evening.

The crash occurred around 8:45 p.m. at 39th and Mount Vernon Streets.

According to police, two cars collided and one of the cars sped away from the scene.

Medics responded and rushed the driver in the remaining car to Penn Presbyterian Hospital for treatment.

Police have not said the condition of the victim.

The crash remains under investigation.
