Driver injured in crash on I-76 in University City

UNIVERSITY CITY (WPVI) -- A driver was injured after crashing his vehicle on Interstate-76 in University City.

The accident happened on the westbound lanes near the University City entrance.

Police say the driver lost control and the vehicle ended up on its side.

Medics had to rescue the driver from the vehicle.

He was taken to the hospital with various injuries. He is listed in stable condition.
