GROSSE POINTE FARMS, Mi. (WPVI) -- Two men risked their lives to save a stranger in a sinking car.
Police say the driver had a medical emergency, and drove his Cadillac into a Michigan lake Monday.
The rescuers saw what happened and dove into the water.
Someone on the shore threw rocks to them so they could try to break the car windows.
Good Samaritan John Lyon said, "I seen somebody needed help. Just kind of, you know, got to help him out. Not even a thought, nope."
Police arrived a few minutes later, used an ax to break the window, and finally freed the driver.
He was incoherent, but conscious.
