Driver slams into parked vehicles in West Philadelphia

WEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are investigating if alcohol played a role in a crash that left a city block looking like a demolition derby in West Philadelphia.

It all began around 2:30 a.m. Saturday on Haverford Avenue near 55th Street.

Police say a female driver in her 30s was traveling west on Haverford when she lost control of her car.

Her vehicle then plowed into four parked vehicles. One of those vehicles spun around, sending car parts everywhere.

She was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say she is facing charges.
