BELLMAWR, N.J. (WPVI) -- I-295 North has reopened in southern New Jersey, more than eight hours after a crash involving a tractor-trailer hauling orange juice.

The incident happened around 12 a.m. Thursday in the northbound lanes of I-295 approaching Route 42 in Bellmawr.

Police say the tractor-trailer hit a barrier wall and overturned, spilling its load of orange juice and also some diesel fuel.

The crash shut down all lanes of I-295 North as crews worked to remove the truck and clean up the mixture of juice and fuel.

The road was finally reopened by 8:30 a.m.

A separate crash involving a motorcycle a short distance away on Route 42 further complicated the morning commute for motorists in the area.

That crash happened at 5 a.m.

The motorcyclist was being treated for head injuries. There was no immediate word on his condition.

The motorcycle crash cleared around 7 a.m.
