VIDEO: Tractor-trailer jackknifes on I-95 NB past Cottman
A tractor-trailer accident slows traffic in the northbound lanes on Interstate-95 just past Cottman Avenue early Friday morning.

A crash involving a jackknifed tractor-trailer caused major traffic headaches on I-95 in Northeast Philadelphia Friday morning.

It happened after 5:30 a.m. Friday in the northbound lanes just north of the Cottman Avenue exit.

There were no reports of injuries.

The crash blocked all lanes of the busy highway at the start of the morning rush hour.

More than five hours later, only one lane of traffic was being allowed past the scene, as crews worked to clean up a fuel spill from the mishap and repair damage to a concrete barrier.

Northbound traffic remained jammed from from the Woodhaven Road exit all the way back to the Vine Street Expressway (I-676) for much of the morning.

Police were finally able to re-open all lanes of the highway by 11:30 a.m.
