Man hospitalized after crash on Lincoln Drive

FAIRMOUNT PARK (WPVI) -- A 28-year-old man is hospitalized after his car flipped over on Lincoln Drive early Saturday morning.

The crash happened around 3:00 a.m. near Schoolhouse Lane in the Fairmount Park section of Philadelphia.

Police say the victim lost control and flipped the car over onto its roof.

Firefighters had to rescue the man from the wreckage.

He was taken to Einstein Medical Center in stable condition.

Lincoln Drive was closed for an hour while police investigated.

So far, there is no word on why the man lost control of the vehicle.
