A truck crash temporarily shut down the Pennsylvania Turnpike Northeast Extension in the southbound lanes between Quakertown and Lansdale exits.

QUAKERTOWN, Pa. (WPVI) -- A truck crash temporarily shut down the Pennsylvania Turnpike Northeast Extension in the southbound lanes between Quakertown and Lansdale exits.

State police tells Action News a tanker truck overturned around 5 a.m. Saturday.

The truck rolled down an embankment, spilling what it was carrying into a nearby creek.

It's not clear on what the truck was carrying.

The driver of the truck suffered minor injuries.

A "Code X" was issued, shutting down the roadway, between Quakertown and Lansdale exits, while crews cleaned up the wreck.

It has since been reopened.
