Pedestrian seriously injured in car accident in Newark

NEWARK, Del. (WPVI) -- A man was seriously hurt when he was hit by a car in Newark, Delaware.

The 68-year-old victim landed on the windshield after he was hit at 6 a.m. Wednesday.

It happened at the intersection of Salem Church and Chapman roads.

The driver stopped after the accident.

The victim was rushed to the hospital and is in stable condition.
