Pedestrian struck by vehicle in Crescentville

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia Police are investigating after a man was hit by a car in the city's Crescentville section.

Investigators say the man was near the southbound inner lanes of the Roosevelt Boulevard near Whitaker Avenue when he was hit around 6 p.m. Saturday.

Police say the striking vehicle did stop.

The man was taken to the hospital where he is stable.

At this time there is no word of possible charges.
