Pedestrian struck by vehicle in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- Wilmington police are investigating a serious accident involving a pedestrian and a vehicle early Wednesday morning.

The crash happened before 7:30 a.m. at Lancaster Avenue and Sycamore Street.

Police have not said the circumstances surrounding the crash.

The victim has not been identified.

The road was closed, but has since reopened.
