DELRAY BEACH, Fla. (WPVI) -- The driver of a Buick SUV was killed when his vehicle was hit by a Lamborghini that was allegedly seen speeding alongside a Porsche.

The crash happened Wednesday afternoon in Delray Beach, Florida.

According to police, witnesses saw both of the high-end cars speeding just before the Lamborghini crashed into a Buick Enclave.

A Delray Beach police officer arrived and performed CPR on the Buick driver, 82-year-old J. Gerald Smith, until paramedics arrived. However, the Smith was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Smith was described by police as an Uber driver "whose wife had dinner waiting at home."

The Lamborghini driver, 60-year-old Roger Wittenberns, is hospitalized in serious condition.

His girlfriend, 61-year-old Patty Ann McQuiggin, was the driver of the Porsche, police say. She allegedly parked her car at a restaurant near the crash scene and fled.

Police have located her, but say she has refused to make a statement to investigators.

Investigators say both speed and alcohol are believed to be factors in this crash.
